The Costa Brava is full of hidden gems – restaurants, charming shops and beautiful hotels. One of my favourites has always been having a drink in a hotel lobby. Why is that? It’s all so well organised, the interiors are stunning and there’s probably a talented cocktail barman who knows exactly what he’s doing! But what about the Costa Brava? Is there a culture here where outsiders can enjoy a few drinks in a hotel? Absolutely, and they welcome you with open arms. Castell d’Empord\u00e0 is the perfect place for a nightcap on a summer’s evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As described on the website, Castell d’Empord\u00e0 has a unique location in the hillside garden of the Costa Brava. Just around the corner is La Bisbal d’Empord\u00e0, a favourite spot for lovers of vintage interiors<\/strong><\/a>, and if you’re into ceramics, it’s a paradise. The area around the hotel is one of natural tranquillity, yet the buzz of city life and popular beaches are only minutes away. In addition, most of the people here have swapped golf for cycling, which is excellent in the area around the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
